David Edwards
Having served as Head Professional Director , David Edwards is now sponsored by Forest Pines Golf and Country Club in North Lincolnshire (www.forestpines.co.uk).
This outstanding venue is part of the Q Hotel Group. In 1996, it was voted "the best new golf course in England" by Golf World Magazine. In 2003, it was voted "the best crafted golf course in the country" by Today's Golfer.
How the show started
Before embarking on a 'Trick Golf Show' career, David has over 30 yrs experience as a professional golfer and as a successful European Tour Player. He was and still is rather good at the game of golf, his career having taken him to the world's top venues. He has competed in the Open Golf Championships and three PGA Championships. After becoming President and Captain of the Yorkshire PGA in the early 90s, in 2002 he was elected Captain of the Lincolnshire PGA. With this came the prestigious role of Captain of the Midlands Region of the Professional Golfers Association.
The Golf Show was a big hit at Golf Expo 1999 and 2000 at the NEC Birmingham, the World Corporate Golf Challenge in La Manga, plus the Millennium Open Championship on board the QE2 at St.Andrews.
David has performed at the 2001 Open Championship at Royal Lytham and 2002 Open Championship at Muirfield and for many Corporate clients including Coca-Cola, Lexus, BMW, Honda, British Airways, Erricson and many others.
The Golf Show has travelled abroad and entertained large crowds in countries including Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Cyprus, France, Portugal, Morocco, Ireland, Barbados and many more.
